Registered Counselor

"Registered Counselor" means a person who engages in procedures of counseling for a fee, monetary or otherwise, and who is registered with the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation.

Registration does not imply or certify in any way that the registrant has met any standards or criteria of education or training

Fees

Biennial renewal fee is $75

Requirements

A late fee of $50 is assessed for licenses renewed up to 90 days after the license expiration date.
A person who submits an application for renewal more than 90 days after the license expiration date cannot reapply for registration pursuant to 2007 Public Laws Chapter 621.
Continuing Education - Non-applicable

Fill out the online renewal application and submit.

The Department must verify that you have met all the conditions for renewal before your license is renewed. Online submission of your renewal application should not be construed as automatic renewal of your license.
