Fourth Class Stationary Steam Engineer
A Fourth Class Stationary Steam Engineer may have charge of a plant of
not more than 50,000 #/HR or operate or supervise a plant up to the capacity
of the license of the engineer in charge of the plant in which the licensee
is employed.

| Requirements |
- Applicants must have one year operating experience as a holder
of a high pressure boiler operator license to qualify to sit
for the examination. Applicants who hold a valid Coast Guard
license qualify for a Maine license in no higher grade than
that which they hold without taking an examination.

Renewal fees and information
| Fees |
- Three-year renewal fee of $150.00
|
| Terms |
- This license is renewed every three years based on first licensure
date
|
| Requirements |
- A late fee of $50.00 is assessed for licenses renewed up to
90 days after the license expiration date.
- Any person who submits an application for renewal more than
90 days after the expiration date but not more than 2 years
may reinstate by paying the $150 license fee and $100 penalty
fee.
Reinstatement application
- Any person who submits an application for renewal more than
2 years after the expiration date shall be subject to all requirements
governing new applicants.
