Booth

Booths attached to or within a licensed shop that are operated independently are subject to licensure, fees and applicable rules in the same manner as independent shops. The program may establish rules for the operation of booths.

How to apply

Fees
  • License fee $50.00
  • Application fee $75.00
Term
  • Annually October 31st.
Requirements

Complete and submit the Application for Booth License with the following information:

  • Appropriate fee made payable to Treasurer, State of Maine or if paying by credit card submit the authorization form with your application;
  • Directions to the shop where you are renting space. Make directions as clear as possible noting any identifying signs landmarks or structures that will assist in locating your establishments.
  • Floor plan. Please provide a floor plan of the shop where you will be operating your business and note specifically the space in the shop that you will be renting to operate your booth. Mark entrances, exits, purpose of each room or area, and location of the required public rest room.

Upon receipt, your information will be evaluated and a license will be issued and mailed to you if approved. The self inspection check list program is not intended to circumvent compliance with Programs laws and rules. This process is intended to ensure booths meet the minimum requirements to open for business more quickly. A physical inspection of your shop will be done in approximately 90 after your license is issued.

This agency can not be held responsible for advanced bookings of clientele and/or advertisements placed. Your establishment can not open for business until your license has been issued.

Renewal fees and information

Fees
  • Annual renewal fee is $50.00.
Terms
  • This license renews Annually October 31st.
Requirements
  • A person who submits an application for renewal after the expiration date is subject to a late fee of $50.00;
  • More than 90 days after license expiration date is subject to submitting a new application with appropriate fee and a late fee of $50.00 plus penalty fees of $100.00.
  • Reinstatement Application

Renewal reminders are mailed approximately 60 days prior to the license expiration date. It is the licensee's responsibility to keep the Program informed of the current license address and/or to see that the license is renewed timely even if you do not recieve a renewal reminder.

  • Fill out the online renewal application and submit.

    The Department must verify that you have met all the conditions for renewal before your license is renewed. Online submission of your renewal application should not be construed as automatic renewal of your license.
