Frequently Asked Questions - Public Accountant licenseesDo I need to pass a test? Yes. You must take the CPA exam, which consists of four-parts:
How do I apply to take the exam? Click HERE to apply to sit for the CPA exam. What are the education requirements to sit for the exam? A minimum 4-year baccalaureate or higher degree within 120 days following the examination is eligible to take the examination. What are the requirements to qualify for a Certificate and a License? Two years public accounting work experience with at least 400 hours of work experience in audit, review and compilation. Successful completion of the CPA exam. What are the continuing education requirements? 40 hours of CPE annually, due at time of renewal. All licensees must obtain at least 4 hours of CPE in ethics every 3 years. Self-study programs may not exceed 20 hours per year. Click HERE to down the rules regarding CPE. Is my application confidential?
