On March 1, 2011, I provided notice of a public hearing in the above-captioned matter to be held beginning April 5, 2011, and if necessary continued on April 6, 2011. On March 2nd Anthem Health Plans of Maine, Inc. requested, due to witness unavailability, that the public hearing be re-scheduled. After coordination with and agreement among Anthem, the Maine Attorney General, and Consumers for Affordable Health Care, the public hearing in this matter is hereby re-scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. on April 12, 2011, in the Kennebec Room at the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, Gardiner Annex, 76 Northern Avenue, Gardiner, Maine. If necessary, I may continue the hearing on April 13, 2011, at the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation in Gardiner also beginning at 9:00 a.m.

As previously set by Notice issued February 8, 2011, I will accept public comments March 14, 2011, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the University of Maine, 100 DP Corbett Building, Orono, Maine, and March 22, 2011, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the University of Southern Maine, Lee Community Hall, Wishcamper Center, Portland, Maine. Additionally, I will accept public comments on April 11, 2011, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Androscoggin Room, Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, Gardiner Annex, 76 Northern Avenue, Gardiner, Maine. Members of the public are invited to attend the hearing, and may provide comments during the hearing if unable to attend the scheduled public comment sessions.

The Department of Professional and Financial Regulation does not discriminate on the basis of disability in the admission to, access to, or operation of its programs, services, or activities. Individuals in need of auxiliary aid for effective communication at the hearing are invited to make their needs and preference known to Sarah Hewett at the Bureau of Insurance, telephone (207) 624-8412, sufficiently in advance of the hearing so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
