Notice of Dismissal

Theresa Violette
vs.
Bristol West Insurance Company
Hearing 2004-15089
 Date Held: August 5, 2004
 Issued: August 19, 2004

This proceeding arose upon a request for hearing made by Theresa Violette (the “Insured”) to contest the pending cancellation of automobile insurance coverage provided by Bristol West Insurance Company (the “Company”). On June 16, 2004, the Company mailed a notice of cancellation effective July 3, 2004 on policy number G00032432500, citing “non-payment of premium” as the grounds for cancellation.

A hearing in this matter was held pursuant to 24-A M.R.S.A. § 2920 on August 5, 2004 with Connie Mayette sitting as designated hearing officer. Subsequent to the hearing, the Insured provided evidence that she secured coverage with another company effective August 4, 2004, and requested that the review be dropped. This petition is hereby dismissed as moot, and our file is closed without further action. The Company’s obligation to continue coverage terminated on the effective date of the replacement policy.
