Notice of Suspension Of Time for Action on the Application of
DOWN EAST FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
Baileyville, Maine
To Convert to a State-Chartered Credit Union
To be Known as DOWN EAST CREDIT UNION
Pursuant to Title 9-B M.R.S.A. § 252.2(c), Down East Federal
Credit Union, Baileyville, Maine, has requested that the Bureau of Financial
Institutions temporarily suspend processing its application to convert
to a state-chartered credit union to be known as Down East Credit Union.
Public notice of this application was originally provided June 12
and June 19, 2006 in the Bangor Daily News and the Kennebec Journal.
No comments were received during the public comment period which closed
July 12, 2006.
As good cause has been shown, the Bureau will extend, for a period
not to exceed thirty days, the time period in which it will act on the
application.
