BANK SUPERINTENDENT’S NOTICE TO INTERESTED PARTIES On June 7, 2006, Down East Federal Credit Union, Baileyville, Maine, filed two applications with the Maine Bureau of Financial Institutions. Public notice of these applications was provided June 12, 2006 and June 19, 2006 in the Bangor Daily News and the Kennebec Journal. By letter dated August 7, 2006, Down East Federal Credit Union withdrew one of its applications, the application to merge Capital Area Federal Credit Union, Augusta, Maine with and into Down East Credit Union. The Bureau hereby terminates its processing of that application and considers that application withdrawn. By order of the Superintendent, effective immediately. Lloyd P.
