NOTICE TO INTERESTED PARTIES

              Down East Credit Union, Baileyville, Maine, notified the Superintendent of the Bureau of Financial Institutions, pursuant to 9-B M.R.S.A. §336, of its intent to close its Bowdoinham branch office located at 20 Main Street, Bowdoinham, Maine.  The closed branch will be replaced by a new branch located at 94 Main Street, Topsham, Maine.

            You may request that the Bureau of Financial Institutions require Down East Credit Union to submit a comprehensive application in support of their proposal through Wednesday, September 1, 2010, pursuant to the provisions of 9-B M.R.S.A. §336.  Written comments should be submitted to the Bureau of Financial Institutions, 36 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333-0036 and electronic comments may be filed through the Bureau of Financial Institutions' Web site at http://www.maine.gov/pfr/financialinstitutions/index.shtml.
