Welcome to the UCC Search & Filing service. This online service allows users to electronically file and search UCC financing statements with the Maine Secretary of State's office.
What you will need
- You will need to have the proper information regarding debtors, secured parties and collateral to enter into the online forms. For more information, visit either the UCC Search FAQ or the UCC Filing FAQ.
- A credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express) or subscription with InforME (visit the InforME website for more information about InforME Subscriber Accounts)
- PDF viewer or Adobe Reader (visit the Adobe website to download the free Adobe Reader)
- You must have cookies enabled in order to use this online service.
Please note: Pursuant to Maine UCC Rules, if you enter any non-standard ASCII characters, these characters will be converted to a space. You will have the opportunity to review and make any necessary changes prior to submitting the search or filing.
Please note: As of October 21, 2013, when doing a UCC search, you must be sure you are searching the exact name. "Noise words" (meaning the words and abbreviations at the end of a name that indicate the existence or nature of an organization) will no longer be disregarded in a search.
