Professional Services

Most state agencies have systems that require dedicated OIT people to maintain and enhance. These services will be direct billed to agencies at a fully burdened rate which includes payroll, benefits, and all other costs such as training, travel, and IT services costs. Agencies will be billed concurrent with each payroll for all filled positions supporting the agency.

Rates may be found on our web page.

IT Supplies

IT supplies such as toner for printers and copiers, blank CDs, etc. are not centrally provided by OIT. Agencies should purchase these items through approved vendors.

Printers, Scanners and other Peripheral Hardware

Agencies requiring the purchase of printers, scanners or other peripheral hardware should contact their agency customer support center to ensure equipment compatibility and business needs are defined. Their customer support will send a help ticket to our purchasing team . Our purchasing organization will order the correct equipment for your needs at a cost plus 10% service fee. When the equipment arrives, the ordering agency will be notified by our service team who will make an appointment for installation.

Software Purchases

Customers requiring software purchases should contact their help desk. The help desk will assist the customer to define their needs and match those needs with state approved software. The help desk will submit a ticket for purchase of the software at a cost plus 10% fee. We will contact the customer when it arrives to schedule installation. Whenever possible, the help desk will install the software through remote access to speed up the service impact and lessen cost of desk side services.

Newly ordered PCs will be configured according to the ordering agency request and the employee job requirements. Microsoft Office Standard consisting of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook will be installed. Customers requiring Access or MS Publisher may indicate they want MS Office Professional at time of PC request or may order at a later date.

All software purchased and installed in state PCs should be done with the assistance of the help desk. We are building an inventory program to record software licenses to ensure legal compliance, help manage future upgrade programs, and to consolidate purchasing to reduce the cost of purchasing software by aggregating total purchases across state government.
