Service description
Wireless Network Access - Both Internal State of Maine (SOM) Agency Specific and Public Open Access points, via SSID broadcast (Service Set IDentifier, the name assigned to a wireless Wi-Fi network).

Availability: 24x7. Technical support of core services and critical sites is provided 24 x 7. Technical support for all other locations and individual users is provided 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on business days.
Service Components Included in the Base Price:
- Local Area Network connectivity via WiFi scaled from 11MB to 300MB, 802.11 a/b/g/n.
- Secure Wide Area network and Internet connectivity
- Proactive network management of Wireless equipment
- Client utilization and performance analysis
- Site survey and capacity planning
- WVoIP and QoS integration where appropriate
- Fully encrypted transport
- State and Public access
- Wireless access point equipment required to provide WiFi connectivity within any given site location
- Coordination of circuit installation and facilities upgrades
- Skilled technician to connect access point to network equipment
Options Available for Additional Charge (SOM access only):
- WVoIP - Wireless Voice over IP
- Technical support for agency specific hardware connectivity
Rates charged for this service:
- One time charge applies per Wireless access point
- One time charge applies per wire run, including jack and termination
