The CIO's vision is for Maine to lead the nation in the effective and efficient use of technology to help achieve an unparalleled quality of life for the people of our State.

Maine has enjoyed rapid growth and success in its use of technology, and work must continue. Systems will be flexible, efficient, and accessible to persons with disabilities and provide security of information where appropriate and necessary.

In short our mission is simple: Listen to what our citizens want, and use technology in creative ways to exceed their expectations.
