***************************************************************** Resolved Issues 1:05 p.m. ~ RESOLVED: Public Safety’s Criminal History Record Information System (CHRI) ~ The recycling of the database was successful and cleared the problem. CHRI is back up and running normally as of about 12:15 p.m. 12:10 pm. ~ Public Safety’s Criminal History Record Information System (CHRI) ~ Recycling the CHRI database, in an attempt to clear the “wait” condition, is being done under emergency request for change (RFC) 2524. See http://inet.state.me.us/ChangeNotesCalendar/View.asp?RFC=2524. This will impact CHRI and possibly METRO. 12:00 ~ Public Safety’s Criminal History Record Information System (CHRI) ~ The Oracle team is planning on recycling the CHRI data base at noon, to try to clear the performance problem described below. 10:30 a.m. ~ Public Safety’s Criminal History Record Information System (CHRI) is experiencing performance issues. Transactions that normally take seconds for a response from CHRI are now taking in excess of an hour. Internal users are encountering a hanging hourglass when they try to use the system. This issue was first identified at about 7:00 this morning, and after investigation by the network group this does NOT appear to be related to the changes made in RFC 2500. Footprints ticket #211874 has been opened and contains additional detail 10:51 a.m. ~ InfoAdvantage - InforAdvantage is now available. 6:43 a.m. ~ InfoAdvantage – Due to high transaction processing volume last night, InfoAdvantage is estimated to be available at 11:00 a.m.. This page will be updated as soon as more information is available.
***************************************************************** Informational Wed. Nov. 25, 6:52 a.m. ~ Completed: The work below was completed successfully this morning without any issues. Upcoming, Wed. Nov. 25, 6:30 a.m. ~ Upcoming Central Maine Commerce Center (CMCC) Data Center Data Switch Work: The following notice was sent by Wayne Gallant on Nov. 20 to the extended management teams in Core Technology and the Applications group, as well as selected others: Equipment in the OIT and Public Safety data centers at CMCC is being relocated in preparation for additional storage area network (SAN) disk storage. To accommodate this move, Network Services will be changing a limited number of data switch connections. The network changes have been tested in the lab, technicians will be monitoring, and a simple back-out plan is ready. Although no connections to production equipment will be made and no issues are expected, the network relationship between the OIT and Public Safety data center switches adds a degree of complexity to the effort. An unforeseen problem could possibly result in a network condition that would affect all equipment in both CMCC data centers. However, any such problem would be apparent and resolved within a matter of five minutes. The Network and Application Hosting groups want to ensure that all OIT and other agency managers are aware of this effort and have time to communicate it within their respective groups. The plan is to make the change at 6:30 a.m. on Wed. Nov. 25. For more information please refer to RFC 2500 at http://inet.state.me.us/ChangeNotesCalendar/View.asp?RFC=2500, or contact Duncan Bond or Wayne Gallant. |
