Forget to Reset Your Voice Mail Message Before Leaving for Vacation?

To update your voice mail from home, dial 626-8999, enter the last five digits of work phone number and password. Then follow the menu instructions to change your voice mail message. Remember to suggest the caller press "0" to reach a receptionist (live person), and include the date you intend to return to the office as part of your message. If you need help e-mail Dave Rodrigue (dave.rodrigue@state.me.us), who will open a trouble ticket and assist you. Call the Customer Service number - 624-8868 - if you have general questions, or want to schedule voice mail training.

Special Note from Tom Maher:

As the administrator for Northern telecom phone systems and several types of voice mail that I need to point out that the instructions that you are giving are specifically for telephone systems with Audix voice mail. The voice mails installed on the various types of Northern telecom systems have been customized by their users and do not allow for a simple set of voice mail instructions. Every user of a Northern telecom system that has voice mail and requires instruction should contact customer service and request training or literature to assist them.

All voice mails installed are provided with formal training and a "Train the trainer" approach is taken if a responsible party is assigned the task of learning and managing the system.
