E-9-1-1 Telephone Service

The Office of Geographic Information Systems (OGIS) is currently providing technical assistance to all Maine communities and unorganized townships, which are undertaking town-wide changes to road names, and structure addresses, in preparation for Enhanced 9-1-1 telephone service.

Municipalities that have completed their addressing/address range updates are now on the OGIS Web site: http://apollo.ogis.state.me.us/projects/e911/data.asp.

This data will be available either as an Arcview Shapefile or as an ESRI Export file from this link. The status database will be updated with new data and changes once per week to reflect the current status.
