Maine Rural Development Council
The Maine Rural Development Council is an intergovernmental and inter-agency association established in 1991 as part of a national initiative on rural development. It is dedicated to the promotion of innovative rural development policies and programs.

University of Maine

Corporate Affiliate Program
The Corporate Affiliate Program is intended to expand relationships between the University of Maine and business and industry to include research and educational programs, technology and people exchanges, and recruitment of students and graduates. It is also an important mechanism to identify current and emerging areas in industry in which the University can make a contribution.

Industrial Assessment Center
The IAC provides waste and energy assessments for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies (SIC codes 20-39) within the State of Maine. The IAC conducts 30 assessments per year which are free of charge for eligible industrial clients. Performed by teams of University faculty, staff and students, typical assessments create first year client savings of $40,000 with average payback of less than one year.
