Enterprise Growth Fund
The Small Enterprise Growth Fund was created by an act
of the Maine Legislature in 1995 to provide Maine companies
and entrepreneurs access to "patient" sources of venture
capital. It is an $8 million revolving, "evergreen"
fund, seeded through a combination of state bond proceeds
and direct appropriation by the Maine Legislature. Its
objective is to encourage economic growth in Maine by
supporting creative and viable companies that can demonstrate
a potential for high growth and public benefit.

The USDA's Rural Development in Maine program provides
financing for many different programs that benefit the
citizens of rural Maine. Offices are located in Bangor,
Lewiston, and Presque Isle.
