Maine Examination Collection

Established in 1973, the Maine Examination Collection includes Maine and New England books, fiction, picture books, fairy tales, non-fiction, biographies, professional titles, foreign language books, reprints, audio and videocassettes, and special editions.

Each year about 3,000 hard cover and paperback review copies are received from over 50 publishing houses.  Age levels range from preschool through senior high school.

The Portland Public Library houses the Collection in Room 416, 4th floor.
