Continuing Education Stipend

The SMLD Board is offering a stipend of $150 for attendance at a continuing education event.  The stipend is open to any staff member of a Southern Maine Library District library. Below are further details:

• The SMLD Board will select the winner based on the completeness and appropriateness of the entry.
• The selected applicant will be required to share the information gained with the District. This can be in the form of an article for the SMLD website and/or newsletter or a presentation at an SMLD meeting.
• Preference will be given to applicants who attend an event about library technology. However, all events on library administration, programs, and services will be considered.
• The winning applicant must attend the continuing education program and comply with the requirements by December 31, 2009.

• Deadline: March 2, 2009
• Winner will be announced by end of March 2009
