- Occupational Outlook Handbook - Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor, the Occupational Handbook presents detailed information on a wide range of occupations. - Careerbuilder.com - This site is a straightforward homepage. On it, you can do a quick job search by keyword, type and place, nationally or worldwide, even by company, industry or salary. You can apply for hourly jobs. It includes an "Advice and Resources" section which includes help with resume writing, education, interviewing and career changes.

- Employment 911 - This site offers free email service, calendars, organizers, and resume posting. It also offers information about resume writing, interviewing, salaries and cover letters.

- CareerCenter - This is the web site of the Maine Department of Labor’s CareerCenter. Click on the “Job Seekers” tab at the top of the page and you will find links: that help you find a job; what to do if you get laid off; where to get job training; how to file for unemployment; job services especially for veterans and the disabled; how to start your own business; internships for young people; workers rights and employers rights.
