Professional Genealogists

The Maine State Library has a large collection of New England genealogical and local histories, but because of limited staff time, the Library cannot undertake extended research for correspondents.

Following is a list of professional genealogists who undertake such research for a fee. Only central Maine researchers may be listed. This list is not an official endorsement of individuals by the Maine State Library.
