Welcome to Northeastern Maine Library District (NMLD)

The Northeastern Maine Library District is one of three districts in the Maine Regional Library System. Each district contains about one third of the state population.

The purpose of the Regional Library System, a program of the Maine State Library, is to:

• Organize library resources and services for research, information, recreation.
• Improve statewide library service.
• Serve collectively the entire population of the state.

Members of the Northern Maine Library District!

For those libraries in the Northeastern Maine Library District, please take the time to join our own NMLD listserv.  With the rising cost of mailings we will be sending most, if not all, of our information through our list.

We will be sponsoring a number of programs this year, however we will not be mailing brochures to individual libraries. Instead we will be posting our material on this web site. So please register to receive postings from our listserv.
