Welcome to Northeastern Maine Library District (NMLD)

The Northeastern Maine Library District (NMLD) is one of three districts in the Maine Regional Library System. Each district contains about one third of the state population.

The purpose of the Regional Library System, a program of the Maine State Library, is to:

• Organize library resources and services for research, information, recreation.
• Improve statewide library service.
• Serve collectively the entire population of the state.
