Will Beale was born and raised in Eastport, ME. He was an accomplished violinist who travelled and did concert work for many years. He then tried his hand at the fish canning industry, attempting to package fish products in glass, with moderate success. He also had a successful insurance and real estate business. He wrote short stories which were published in Everybody's American and Good Housekeeping, some of his westerns were made into films.
