Maine Bindery Cooperative

Formed in 1981, the official binder for the cooperative is the Bridgeport National Bindery, a member of the Library Binding Institute.

Guidelines

  • Full range of binding services
  • Guaranteed binding prices for a full year
  • No minimum size for shipments
  • Libraries invoiced individually
  • Host libraries serve as pick-up and delivery sites
  • *Books should arrive at a host libraries no sooner than one week before pickup date
  • *Host libraries must be called and alerted when another library has items to drop off to go to the Bindery.
  • Additional stops arranged for large shipments

  • Bangor: Bangor Public Library (M3 schedule), 145 Harlow Street, Bangor, Maine 04401, Tel. 947-8336
  • Bindery Library Trip Pick up and Delivery Schedule - Check M1 for Maine State Library or M3 for Bangor Public Library

Rush orders

Rush orders will be returned UPS at library's expense.

  • No membership fees or restrictions
  • Contact the Bridgeport Bindery Service Representative below for information packet

*Special Note

Bindery paperwork should be on the outside of the boxes to avoid confusion with other shipments and packages at host libraries.
