Booksale Volunteer
Time Commitment
1-2 hours, weekly, minimum 3 month commitment
Purpose
Stocks and weeds library books for on-going booksale.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Sorts through gifts
- Uses guidelines and works with a staff member, separates possible collection additions and sale material from non-useable donations
- May use computer to check to see if the item is already part of the library's collection
- Stocks booksale shelves
- Maintains an attractive, neat booksale area
- Coordinates efforts with the friends of the Library for annual book sale
- Assists with the annual booksale
Skills/Abilities/Qualifications Required
- Must be able to follow directions and guidelines
- Able to work independently and with little supervision
- Some knowledge of libraries, public interests, and reading trends desirable
- Physical ability in keeping with job description
- Discriminating judgment
