Maine School and Library Network (MSLN) Participation

Beginning with the 2006 E-rate funding year, the PUC approved The Order, Docket No. 2001-223, adopting "the recommendations of the Maine Telecommunications Education Access Fund (MTEAF) Advisory Board concerning additional requirements for schools and libraries participating in the MTEAF. These changes are necessary in order to ensure Federal E-Rate funding."

Libraries and schools participating in MSLN must, by the required deadline, submit:

  • Signed letter of agency
  • Participation summary information sheet
  • Signed Form 479
  • Schools who do not participate in the National School Lunch program (NSLP) must submit additional paperwork so we can calculate the required discount.

Participation packets for 2008 will be mailed to Maine schools and public libraries in fall 2007.
