CMLD Public Relations Committee

CMLD, in collaboration with the Southern and Northeastern Maine Library Districts, launched a "Maine Libraries: Something for Everyone" campaign in 2002 with special funding from the New Century Community Grant Program.

The goal is to promote libraries to the general public, especially to library non-users. A special website MaineLibrarie s was developed to make locating libraries easy for someone unfamiliar with libraries in his or her area. A unique feature of this website is its searchable database which allows searching by location, programs, or services.

This is the place for libraries to publicize their events and programs to the public. Logon to MaineLibraries and update your information now. The events calendar is never out-of-date because past events are automatically archived. Ongoing events, such as weekly story time can be entered just once and will appear in the calendar weekly until you change it.

This website is being publicized via media releases, radio public service announcements, bumper stickers, and bookmarks statewide. Your participation will help keep this important resource vibrant. Questions about logging into the site? Use the librarian form at the bottom of the Contact Us page.
