Renewable Resources Stakeholder Group
The Renewable Resource Stakeholder Group was established at the request of the Utilities and Energy Committee at the end of the last session to examine the benefits and costs of renewable generation in Maine and to develop strategies to maximize renewable generation that is cost competitive and
- Assures an adequate, secure and reliable supply of electricity
- Encourages economic development opportunities
- Reduces environmental and public health impact
- Reduces price volatility, and
- Minimizes long term costs
The Group will meet monthly through November, and submit a report to the Committee by mid-December.
