Locating Private Facilities

If you are an owner of private underground facilities (this includes gas, electric, water, telephone and cable facilities), whether as a homeowner or business, under the Dig Safe rule you are required to locate and mark these facilities for excavators.

The following is a list of the contractors that the PUC is aware of that provide locating services for privately-owned underground facilities.* Please be aware that, currently, no license is required to provide these services and there is no regulatory board of oversight. Therefore, the PUC provides this list only as a courtesy to owners of private underground facilities and does not warrent the accuracy or any other aspect of these contractors' services.
