The Maine Public Utilities Commission (Commission) is seeking proposals for long-term contracts for capacity and associated energy from qualifying new renewable resource Projects.  Projects selected will enter into long-term contracts with one or both of Maine’s investor-owned transmission and distribution utilities - Central Maine Power Company (CMP) and Emera Maine (EM) (T&D utilities). Proposals from existing facilities and/or nonrenewable resource projects will not be considered in this targeted solicitation, but may be considered in a subsequent RFP. The amount of the Proposal Security Deposit will be set at $ 5 per kW for all Project Types, with a cap of $100,000. Proposal Security Deposits will be held by the utility that bidder proposes as the long-term contract counterparty (Contact Information & Detail on Security Deposit Process (Word)).
