Your Water Service
Maine’s water utility services are provided by more than 150 utilities across the state. While some water utilities are larger for-profit companies, many are small community operations, in some cases only seasonal, but they all provide vital community services including drinking water and water for fire protection. The Commission regulates water utility rates and service quality. The federal and state governments regulate the public health and environmental aspects of Maine’s water utilities.
