How can I participate in a Public Witness Hearing?

When you make your statement, please focus your testimony on the issues in the case. If you have questions about your utility bills or service related problems, company officials and PUC representatives are available to assist you during or after the hearing. There are two types of statements you can give:

  • Sworn Testimony is part of the official record of the case and is reviewed by the Commission before it makes its final decision. An oath is required before presenting sworn testimony, stating that what you are about to say is the truth. Please provide a copy of any prepared written statement.
  • Unsworn Testimony will not be part of the official case record, but can provide the basis for further PUC investigation. If you provide unsworn testimony, you may also want to provide a written statement of your views about the case.
