MMA provides its customers (Department of Defense and the U.S. Taxpayer) with a very cost effective alternative to purchasing new HMMWVs. At the rate and capacity that America's military is operating today, it is crucial to provide the fighting force with quality equipment essential for mission accomplishment at less cost. The need for specialized, dependable equipment used by the United States military will not change. MMA is an essential component in fulfilling this need.

MMA has had tremendous success in its repair and rebuild operations and has especially demonstrated its expertise to produce exceptionally high quality HMMWVs timely and in a cost effective manner. Since 1997, MMA has produced 6,500 HMMWVs of various models for the National Guard Bureau (NGB) and Tank Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM). MMA's HMMWVs have produced and shipped HMMWVs to all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Kuwait and FORSCOM.

Since it began operations in 1997, Maine Military Authority has saved the Department of Defense and the U.S. Taxpayer over $260,800,000 (260 Million Dollars) by rebuilding HMMWV at Maine Military Authority as opposed to purchasing new vehicles.
