During the past four years, it has become increasingly clear that the ability to collaborate and communicate among teachers, students, technicians, administrators, and parents is vitally important. The next deployment of the MLTI, beginning in school year 06-07, will include an online learning management system, StudyWiz.

This environment will allow teachers and students to share resources, hand-in work, pass out assignments, send and receive electronic messages, host online chats, and even store files in your own eLocker. Every student will have 100MB of space in their eLocker while teachers will be able to store up to 500MB of information in their eLockers.

Teachers can dynamically create collaborative spaces for students, and even create chat rooms. StudyWiz will also facilitate sharing across the State connecting teachers from Fort Kent to Kittery. In addition, all users will have access to an Internet email account.
