Welcome to the Maine Information and Analysis CenterThe Maine Information and Analysis Center (MIAC), also known as the Fusion Center, is a cooperative effort between the Maine State Police and the Maine Emergency Management Agency, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The MIAC exists to evaluate information and intelligence about potential terrorist activity in Maine. The MIAC ensures that critical information is shared promptly with all appropriate agencies.
National Homeland Security Threat level is currently "Yellow" or “Elevated”. Learn more ... MIAC is also a resource to help Maine citizens do their part in helping to keep Maine safe. It is a place that people may contact when they observe or learn of suspicious persons, incidents or activity that may arouse their concerns. Information shared with the MIAC will be evaluated as previously described and referrals will be made to the proper parties, if a referral is indicated. NOTICE: Meeting of the MIAC Advisory Board
Next Meeting: January 21, 2009, 1:00 pm Location: Department of Public Safety, Fallen Heroes Conference Room Purpose: To update the Advisory Board on the MIAC’s activities over the past year. Discussion will include the adoption of the MIAC Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Privacy Policy, and a draft version of the MIAC Operational Standards document Auxiliary aids and services are available to individuals with disabilities on request.
