TRAVEL DIRECTIONS:

The Maine Human Rights Commission's office is located in the Cleveland Building, Hallowell State Annex
9 Coos Lane (off Winthrop St.)
Hallowell, ME

From the North, take Exit 109A (formerly Exit 30A) off I-95 & loop around the exit, going straight toward Winthrop.  (This will bring you to Western Avenue – Route 202.) As you get off the exit ramp, you will need to move to the left lane at the traffic lights.  Turn left onto Whitten Road.  At the first light you will see Hannaford on your left and Sears on your right.  Continue going straight for approximately 1 mile.  At the STOP sign, turn left.  Go 7/10’s of a mile, then as you start down the steep hill you will see a driveway on your left and the Commission’s sign.  Turn left into the driveway and proceed to the single story building at the back of the complex.  Parking is at the back of the building.

From the South: Take I-95 North. In South Portland, take Exit 6A for I-295 North.  Follow I-295 through Portland until it once again becomes I-95, just past Falmouth. Continue North for approximately 50 miles.  After the Gardiner toll booth, go 7 miles to Exit 109 Northbound in Augusta, going toward Winthrop. (This will bring you to Western Avenue - Route 202.) As you get off the exit ramp, you will need to move to the left lane at the traffic lights. Turn left onto Whitten Road. At the first light you will see Hannaford on your left and Sears on your right. Continue going straight for approximately 1 mile. At the STOP sign, turn left.
