Resources and Training Opportunities for Commission Members

The Maine Historic Preservation Commission provides a training workshop for local historic preservation commission members annually. These workshops are generally intended to focus on the perceived needs and interests of CLG commissions in Maine.

Additionally, there are several agencies and non-profits that provide training and educational materials for a variety of historic preservation related interests. In particular, the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions provides a wealth of information focusing on historic preservation commission related issues.
