Pre-registration for the Maine Partners in Emergency Preparedness Conference is now closed.

If you missed the deadline, you may register at the door.

The Conference will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, April 25th and 26th at the Augusta Civic Center.

Keynote talks:

Day One, Tuesday April 25th

Lessons Learned from Hurricane Matthew

Our first day’s plenary will focus on response to and recovery from the effects of Hurricane Matthew in North Carolina last year. Our speaker, Michael Sprayberry, is the Director of the North Carolina Emergency Management Agency.

Day Two, Wednesday April 26th:

Lessons Learned from the Boston Marathon Bombing

Our second day keynote will look at the response to and the impact of the Boston Marathon Bombing in Massachusetts. Our speaker, Kurt Schwartz, is the Director of the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.

    • Day One: Pet Sheltering Demonstration, Oxford County Animal Response Team and State of Maine Animal Response Team

    • Day Two: The always exciting Hazmat Team Challenge

  • Six tracks of a wide range of emergency management workshops, including tracks on weather threats, incident management, community, security and response, technological hazards, recovery and healthcare.
