TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT: MGT-343: Disaster Management for Water & Wastewater Utilities

The Maine Rural Water Association is providing MGT-343: Disaster Management for Water & Wastewater Utilities on March 30 & 31, 2017 in Lewiston. This is a free class that is being sponsored by USEPA, DHS, FEMA, TEEX, MEWARN and Maine Rural Water Association.

Audience: Water & Wastewater Utility Managers, Board Members, Operators and Field Personnel, Emergency Management, Public Works Management, Utility Management, Power Providers, Health Care and Hospital Management, Town/City & County Elected Officials, Lab Personnel, Inspectors, Engineers, Senior Regulatory Officials and Tribal Council Members

This two day course will guide participants through issues concerning preparing for, responding to, mitigating, and recovering from incidents affecting WWW facilities. In addition, participants will be introduced to the natural and man-made hazards to which WWW systems may be vulnerable.

Prerequisite FEMA/SID Number: Students must register and bring a copy of their SID number to class. Register online: cdp.dhs.gov/femasid
