TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT: ICS 339 AND ICS 400

Coast Guard Sector Northern New England (SNNE) will be hosting an ICS-339 and an ICS-400 course. ICS 339 Division/Group Supervisor is a 2-day course designed to meet the training requirements of a Type 3 Division or Group Supervisor in the Operations Section on a response incident. Course topics include: division/group management, organizational interaction, and division operations.
ICS-400 Advanced ICS is a 1-day course designed for senior personnel expected to perform in Command and General Staff roles in the ICP and in a management capacity in an area command/complex incident environment. The course emphasizes large-scale organization development, roles and relationships of the primary staff, the planning, operational, logistical and fiscal considerations related to large and complex incident and event management. It describes the application of Area Command and the importance of interagency coordination on complex incidents and events.
***ICS-300 is a prerequisite for these courses. You may NOT attend these courses without the required prerequisite as we will be building on the information covered in those courses.
ICS-339 will convene Tuesday and Wednesday, 15-16 November 2016, promptly at 0800. The training will be held at 2 Monument Square, 2nd Floor, Portland, Maine, in the Great Bailey Island conference room. Graduation will be approx. 1630, 16 November.
ICS-400 will convene Thursday, 17 November 2016, promptly at 0800. The training will be held at 2 Monument Square, 2nd Floor, Portland, Maine, in the Great Bailey Island conference room. Graduation will be approx. 1630, 17 November.
Free parking is not available at this location. However, several public parking garages are available within easy walking distance.
Submission deadline is 30 October, or until seats are filled.
Interested participants desiring to attend shall e-mail their name, position, agency/organization, contact info and a couple of lines on why they are interested in taking the course to the POC listed below. Class size is limited to 30 students.
Substitutions may not be made without authorization from the POC.
