Pre-registration for the Maine Partners in Emergency Preparedness Conference is now closed.

The Conference will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, April 19th and 20th at the Augusta Civic Center.

Day One, Tuesday April 19th

Cyber Security Panel

Our first day’s keynote panel discussion focuses on cyber security issues: the risks we face all day, every day in using modern technology, and some of the efforts in Maine to address these issues. Our presenters include:

  • Chet Lunner, Deputy Under Secretary for Intelligence, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (ret.)

  • Tammy Plummer, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, First National Bank

  • Marshall Tracy, CISSP, Head of Information Security at IDEXX

Day Two, Wednesday April 20th:

Catastrophic Loss of Electrical Power Panel

Our second day panel will look at the impacts and response to a major power grid failure, a hazard Mainers remember all too well, dating back to the Ice Storm of 1998 and many significant power related events since then. We are pleased to include Central Maine Power and Emera Maine representatives as speakers for this discussion.

    • Day Two: Emergency Vehicle Demonstration, tour State of Maine, County, National Guard and other vehicles hosted by the emergency personnel that use them

  • Five tracks of a wide range of emergency management workshops, including tracks on hazmat, cyber security, preparation, response, recovery and prevention.
