TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT: Incident Command System: Intermediate (ICS300)

The Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), in support of the Hancock County EMA, will be conducting an incident command system course for command and policy level first response personnel. This 2-day course is designed for a multidiscipline organization and staffing, incident and event planning/staffing, organizing a response to an incident or audience of persons who would likely serve as supervisors in an ICS structure. Topics include planned event, and incident resource management. The course includes group activities, a tabletop exercise, and a final exam. This program is intended for middle management and command staff personnel.
TARGET AUDIENCE: All command level emergency responders and personnel responsible for developing Incident Action Plans for expanding incidents. All students will have completed up to NIMS ICS 200 (Basic) prior to taking the course. Copy of certificate must accompany application.
Dale Rowley of Waldo County EMA will serve as primary instructor along with local adjuncts.
COURSE LOCATION: The course will be held at Jeff’s Catering, 15 Littlefield Way, Brewer. Classes will run from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Breaks and lunch will be provided. This is a regional training offering, no lodging is available. All other expenses are the responsibility of the student.
