Emergency Response to Ethanol Rail Car Incidents
February 29 -- Milo Fire Department, 6 Pleasant Street, Milo
March 1 -- Greenville Fire Department, 10 Minden, Greenville
March 7 -- Jackman Town Office, Main Street, Jackman
(please note this is a change from the original date of March 9)
March 8 -- Lincoln, Region 3 Technical Center, 35 West Broadway, Lincoln
March 16 -- Topsfield Town Office, 48 North Road, Topsfield. This is north on Rt. 1 from the Rt. 6 intersection.

The Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) in conjunction with the Somerset, Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Washington County EMA’s will be hosting an ethanol awareness class for first responders.

This 3 hr. class will cover the following topics:

  • Chemical & Physical Characteristics of Ethanol
  • Fire Fighting Foam Principles & Ethanol
  • Health & Safety Considerations for Ethanol

All classes will run from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

No need for preregistration.
