TRAINING ANNOUCEMENT: ICS/EOC Interface Course (G191)

The Maine Emergency Management Agency will be conducting the FEMA training program Incident Command System, Emergency Operations Center Interface Course. This 1 day course will address the Incident Command System (ICS) and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) relationship, capabilities and limits of both systems, key players, communications systems, resources, planning programs and logistical assistance. This course is part of the Maine Basic Emergency Manager Recognition program.
The course will help students bridge the gap between an on-scene Incident Commander and the EOC. Training will focus on the teamwork and mutual respect necessary to conduct concurrent operations.
Target Audience: All command level emergency responders and personnel responsible for operations at the local or county emergency operations center. All students will have completed up to NIMS ICS 200 (Basic) prior to taking the course. Copy of certificate must accompany application.
Course Location: The course will be held at the Penobscot County EOC located at 69 Hammond Street, Suite 3, in Bangor. Class will run from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunch and breaks will be provided.
