Trainer: Howard Mette, MEP, RRT

HICS is a standardized incident management tool, similar to the Incident Command System used by first responders that allows hospitals to efficiently manage incidents that occur inside or outside the hospital. HICS has been adopted as the incident management tool used at many of Central Maine Regional Resource Center’s hospitals. Staff who assume a role in incident command must be familiar with this system.

To participate, you must complete National Incident Management (NIMS) prior to attending. This can be accomplished by completing IS-100.HCB “Introduction to the Incident Command System for Healthcare” at the FEMA Website: www.training.fema.gov
