TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT: Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings

Maine Maritime Academy will be hosting Investigator Stewart (Stu) Jacobs of the Maine State Fire Marshall’s office on July 10, 2015. He will be conducting classroom training for Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings. As First Responders in our community, we invite you to join in this training.

Class Title: Performance Level Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings Classes

Class Description: The approximately four hour performance level IRTB course is designed for First Responders and provides basic information on explosive and incendiary devices that could be used as terrorist weapons. Classroom topics include:

  • Understanding the terrorist threat
  • Improvised explosive devices (IEDs)
  • Appropriate actions for executing safe and effective response to bomb threat and suspicious item incidents
  • Departmental or agency policies to ensure compliance with local requirements
