Warming Centers

Lincoln County

Open from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm unless otherwise noted

  • Wiscasset Fire Department, 51 Bath Road/Route 1
  • Waldoboro Fire Department, 1600 Atlantic/Route 1
  • Bremen Fire Department, 6 Ledge Land
  • Dresden Fire Department, 1075 Middle Road
  • Boothbay Center Fire Department, 911 Wiscasset Road/Route 27 OPEN 24 HOURS but NO OVERNIGHT ACCOMODATIONS
  • Westport Island Fire Station, Route 144 OPEN 24 HOURS but NO OVERNIGHT ACCOMODATIONS

Other Services Available:

  • Boothbay YMCA - showers available if individuals mentions “Red Cross”
  • Damariscotta YMCA - showers available if individuals mentions “Red Cross”

Knox County:

  • Cushing Fire Department CLOSED

Note: Warming Centers are locations where the public can go for brief periods of time to warm up if they have no heat sources at home. Warming Centers do not provide meals or overnight accommodations.

Shelters

Lincoln County

  • Wiscasset Community Center WILL CLOSE SUNDAY EVENING at 6:00 pm

    • Contact for sheltering assistance: Lincoln County Office of Emergency Management, 882-7559

York County

  • Saco Community Center CLOSED
  • Marshwood High School CLOSED
  • South Berwick Community Center, 71 Norton Street, South Berwick NOW OPEN

Pet Sheltering is available at the Animal Welfare Society in Kennebunk, 46 Holland Road, West Kennebunk. Please go through York County EMA (324-1578)for a referral. They have room to accommodate 6-8 dogs, 10 cats and unlimited smaller animals.

Sagadahoc County

  • American Red Cross Midcoast Chapter Office, 16 Community Way, Topsham

Note: The Red Cross Shelters have overnight accommodations and hot meals will be served.
