Communications Interoperability & Concept of Operations Plan (CONOPS) Training Announced

Communications Interoperability“The ability to exchange voice and data information across disciplines and jurisdictions on demand, in real time, and when authorized.” Concept of Operations Plan (CONOPS)TrainingDeveloped by Maine Emergency Management Agency Why:Most agencies already know how to communicate with their partners through existing mutual aid agreements. The challenge is when agencies who are not normally involved with the mutual aid response are required at the scene. This class presents the basic information on the State of Maine Concept of Operations Plan (CONOPS) for incident communication interoperability. The plan, developed by the Maine Emergency Management Agency, outlines the process and procedures for implementing a common radio communication capability among public safety, first responders and other responders required to conduct appropriate responses to major events, emergencies and disasters. This course assumes you have a working knowledge of National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS). Who:Emergency service personnel, community emergency volunteers and management personnel responsible for management of resources related to emergency preparedness activities of government.
